Northern Accountants, an industry-leading cloud accounting firm, has won the award for Best Tech Initiative at the 2024 Yorkshire Accountancy Awards.

We are very pleased to announce that our Onboarding app was the winning tech initiative with the judges recognising the team’s ongoing hard work and efforts in making the onboarding experience straightforward and efficient for both clients and the team. Jayne Waugh, our Head of Client Transition, accepted the award with her being instrumental in streamlining the onboarding process.

The judge’s thoughts:

‘This initiative is highly valuable to the accountancy profession and our recommendation is that it should be rolled out across all accountancy firms due to its efficiency – a worthy winner indeed.’

The judge’s acknowledgment of our Onboarding app’s value and innovative nature is a testament to the team’s commitment to excellence. Our Legacy app was also a finalist within the same awards category and of course, there could only be one winner. 

The Legacy app is a new cloud-based platform that delivers comprehensive inheritance tax planning for our clients. It has enhanced our service offering and helps clients identify areas of potential tax savings. Our Head of Tax, Lauren Chester was the driving force behind this app with our leadership team, developers, and design team helping to deliver the best service for our clients.

We were also finalists for Brand of the Year with our Employee Value Proposition (EVP) continuing to develop and grow with the team going from strength to strength. Our values and NA way continue to play a pivotal role in the way we do things with some big things planned for this year.

We are incredibly proud to have our initiatives recognised as industry-leading which reaffirms our dedication to creating pioneering solutions for our clients and team. Winning the Best Tech Initiative and being finalists in two categories for three of our ventures underscores the ongoing commitment and effort of the team here at Northern Accountants.
